So you’re commissioned, certified, and still broke. Sound familiar?
This is the part nobody tells you: becoming a notary is only step one. The real money comes from knowing where the work is. That’s why this guide exists — to show you how to get your name in front of the right companies, land real signings, and avoid time-wasters.
There are platforms out there — like Notary Dash, Signing Order, Snapdocs — that act as matchmakers between notaries and companies (like title firms and signing services) that need docs notarized, usually for loans.
You’re not chasing cold leads. These platforms send work to you.
BUT — there’s a catch. Not all signing services are created equal.
Some pay quickly and treat notaries like pros. Others? Ghost you after a job well done. That’s why doing your own vetting — reading reviews, asking in groups, checking forums — is so important. One platform doesn’t equal one company. Signing Order, for example, can send jobs from dozens of different businesses.
Create a profile on Notary Dash, Signing Order, Snapdocs, 123Notary, and Notary Café.
Complete your profile — fully. Headshot. Bio. What platforms you’re certified on. Tech specs (mobile printer? second language?). Don’t skip this. Companies do judge based on how put-together your profile looks.
Keep track of who you’re working with. Invoice everyone. I use QuickBooks — and yes, we cover that in the course too.
Make sure you list it. A lot of companies search specifically by RON status and preferred platforms.
Ready to finally feel like a pro?
That’s exactly what we cover inside my course, Roadmap to RON. Whether you’re brand new or just tired of winging it, I’ll teach you how to go remote, stay organized, and actually make money doing this.
Katie has done several virtual closings for my title company. She has always been extremely professional, always on time, and always prepared. Highly recommended and we will continue to use her.
As an attorney who frequently requires the services of a mobile notary, I highly recommend Katie for all your notary needs. She is always professional, punctual, and efficient in providing notary services. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding legal documents and ensures that all documents are properly executed and notarized.
I appreciate Katie’s flexibility in scheduling appointments and her willingness to travel to our clients' locations. She is always prompt in responding to emails and calls, which is crucial in the legal profession.
Overall, I highly recommend Katie as a mobile notary. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and provides exceptional service.
I had no idea that this kind of service existed, but I am so glad I did...Katie made the whole process very easy. I really like the fact that she can provide virtual services so I don't have to drive across town or coordinate schedules.
We helped a family member purchase a home out of state. This was a super stressful process, as all of us were in another state than the house that was being purchased. Katie helped out in a pinch with her virtual notarization services. Most importantly, using her virtual service meant not having to take time off work to go to a local notary and wait around. She made the process easy and had everything prepped. Highly recommend!
