Frequently Asked Questions

What is Online Notarization

A legally recognized way to get your document notarized anywhere in the world. All you need is your documents uploaded and a unexpired form of identification.

Can I use my smartphone for virtual notarization?

Yes. Some of the older versions of smartphones might not be compatible. But you just need a steady internet connection and a smartphone with a camera.

Do I have to be in Florida to notarize a document virtually?

No Geographic Limitations

When it comes to virtual notarization, the world becomes your oyster. One of the most significant advantages of this modern approach to notarization is that it transcends geographical limitations. Regardless of where you or your clients are located, virtual notarization can accommodate your needs.

What do I need for my appointment?

Valid Identification:

Have a valid, unexpired form of identification ready. This is usually a government-issued ID like a driver's license or passport. The notary will ask you to show this identification during the video session to verify your identity.

Digital Copies of Documents:

Ensure you have digital copies of the documents that require notarization.

Access to a Computer or Mobile Device:

You will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection to join the video conference with the notary. Make sure your device has a working camera and microphone.

A Quiet and Well-Lit Space:

Find a quiet, well-lit space where you can participate in the video conference without interruptions. This ensures that the notary can clearly see and hear you during the session.

Do you travel to hospitals?

Yes, we provide in person or remote notarizations to individuals in health care settings.

Can you notarize documents for foreign nationals?

Yes! The state of Florida allows me to notarize documents through a biometric screening. This enables me to notarize documents for foreign nationals even if they do not have a SSN.

**Please advise prior to the appointment if this is the case.

Will every place accept remote online notarization?

The short answer is that they should. Each office or recording party is different, so I usually advise to reach out to the office if you are unsure.
