Hi, my name is Katie Tremulis, and I’m with Notary SWFL. I’m a commissioned Remote Online Notary in the state of Florida, and one of the most common questions I receive is: “Can you help foreign nationals?”
This is an excellent question—and one that’s not very well known outside of notary circles. The good news is that in Florida, there is actually a workaround available for signers who do not have a Social Security number.
For foreign nationals, the state of Florida allows Remote Online Notaries (RONs) to use alternative identity verification methods. Instead of relying on a Social Security number for credentialing, the signer goes through a process that includes:
Biometric face screening to confirm their identity visually.
Bank-level security checks to ensure everything is above board and legally valid.
This makes it possible for foreign nationals to complete notarizations securely and in compliance with Florida law.
For many foreign nationals living, working, or conducting business in the U.S., notarized documents are an essential part of legal and financial processes. Remote online notarization makes these transactions more accessible—without requiring in-person appointments or unnecessary hurdles.
If you’re a foreign national who needs a document notarized in Florida, there are solutions available. With biometric screening and bank-level security, you can complete the process quickly, safely, and legally.
If you have questions about your specific situation, I’d be happy to help. Feel free to reach out to me directly—I offer discovery calls and one-on-one support to walk you through the process.
