Notary FAQs: What Clients Always Ask Me

Common Questions About Remote Online Notarization with Notary SWFL

Hi there! My name is Katie Tremulis, and I’m the owner of Notary SWFL, where we specialize in Remote Online Notarizations (RON) across a variety of industries including real estate, law, and more.

One of the most common questions I get (seriously, I hear this one almost every day!) is:

“My signer is in [insert country/state]... can you still do the notarization?”

The answer is yes.
As long as the notary is located in their commissioned state at the time of the signing, we can notarize for clients anywhere in the world. Whether your signer is in Europe, Asia, or right here in the U.S., we can accommodate.

“What if the signer is a foreign national without a Social Security number?”

Another great question—and again, yes, we can still help.
There are just a few additional steps we need to take on the backend, so I do ask that you give me a heads-up ahead of time. If you're with a title company, this is especially important for real estate transactions involving foreign nationals. I’ll ask you a few extra questions to make sure everything goes smoothly.

“Do you require a lead time for bookings?”

Ideally, I ask for 4 to 6 hours of lead time so we can properly schedule and prepare. That said, I understand emergencies happen. If you need something urgently, just reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

“What hours are you available?”

Notary SWFL is available 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
If you have a client overseas who’s only available at 3 AM EST—no problem. We just ask for some advance notice so we can lock it into the schedule and make sure everyone is ready.

“What if my signer speaks another language?”

In most cases, we can accommodate that too.
Languages like Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin are typically covered. If your signer speaks a less common dialect or language, please contact me in advance. It might require extra coordination or a longer lead time, but we can usually make it happen.

As an attorney who frequently requires the services of a mobile notary, I highly recommend Katie for all your notary needs. She is always professional, punctual, and efficient in providing notary services. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding legal documents and ensures that all documents are properly executed and notarized.

I appreciate Katie’s flexibility in scheduling appointments and her willingness to travel to our clients' locations. She is always prompt in responding to emails and calls, which is crucial in the legal profession.

Overall, I highly recommend Katie as a mobile notary. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and provides exceptional service.

I had no idea that this kind of service existed, but I am so glad I did...Katie made the whole process very easy. I really like the fact that she can provide virtual services so I don't have to drive across town or coordinate schedules.

We helped a family member purchase a home out of state. This was a super stressful process, as all of us were in another state than the house that was being purchased. Katie helped out in a pinch with her virtual notarization services. Most importantly, using her virtual service meant not having to take time off work to go to a local notary and wait around. She made the process easy and had everything prepped. Highly recommend!
